Our Club offers your child or teen a place to learn and grow as an individual through after-school and summer enrichment programs. Your child will build character, intelligence, confidence and beneficial life skills as they participate in our programs. Cooking ClassBGCNI Art Class

We offer a Cooking Classes for all ages!  Classes teach safety in the kitchen and the basics of cooking. There is a limited number of 12 per class so sign up quickly! This program requires a permission form per semester for 12 and under.  The teen class is offered year-round and does not require registration. 

Indiana Kids

Indiana Kids focuses on homework help and tutoring. The program provides Club members with support, resources, and the guidance necessary to complete their homework and start the school day with a sense of confidence and ability. Members must meet guideline requirements, complete application, and be pre-tested. Open to members 1st grade to 8th grade. Please see the front counter for the application.

Power Hour

Power Hour: Making Minutes Count helps Club members ages 6-18 achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encouraging members to become self-directed learners. Printed program materials include a resource guide for program coordinators, homework helpers and tutors and a poster-sized Power Points chart for tracking and rewarding participants’ progress.

SMART Kids

SMART Kids is a program designed for boys and girls from kindergarten to 9 years of age. It provides activities to develop respect for others, ability handle feelings, healthy habits, safety in all situations, and so much more!

Triple Play

The Triple Play program is an ongoing program to enhance the mind, body, and soul of members of all ages. The program targets healthy eating, lifestyles and maintaining an active body.  

Art Club

In Art Club, members explore, create and review pieces of artwork. Members will be making pieces with advanced techniques as part oClub Tech Programf a series. 

Club Tech

Skill Tech/Club Tech, Digital Arts Suite, and Game Tech are national Boys & Girls Club online courses. Members learn computer skills, how to create their own video game and take place in the Digital Arts Festival. These programs welcome members from ages 9-18 years old and will be scheduled throughout the school year.

UPstander

UPstander is a program for youth ages 13 and older that helps members appreciate themselves as unique and special individuals.  Through promoting inclusion, fact seeking, and personal leadership, members will become part of the UPstander movement and contribute to the greater good of their community.  The program features interactive, small group activities designed to sharpen decision making and critical thinking skills, increase participants' peer support, and strengthen leadership skills.  Topics may include self-esteem, peer pressure, conflict resolution, accountability, and responsibility. 

Tutoring

Tutoring will be available for members who are needing assistance with a subject area or studying skills. Tutoring is NOT homework help. Members must sign up. Tutoring spaces are scheduled based off of the tutor’s schedule and order the applications are received. Tutoring will take place Monday - Thursday between the hours of 3pm and 8pm. Boys 2 Men

In the Boys 2 Men program, we will talk and learn about what it means to become a "man." Such topics we will discuss are: dating and relationships, responding to authority, building self-esteem, and resistance to drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. There will be time for sports and field trips too!

Junior Staff

The Junior staff program is for members from ages 10 to 12. This program gives the members an oppHealthy Futuresopportunity to see what skills are necessary to not only work at the club, but other jobs as well.

Keystone Club

Keystone Club is a chartered leadership and service club. Keystoners elect officers and implement activities in six areas: service to the club and community, character and leadership development, education and career exploration, unity, free enterprise and social rec-reation. For any off site volunteering, teens will need a signed permission slip. Members must be 13 and older.

Smart Girls

Smart Girls is a club that is strictly for girls ages 10-12. Girls participate in problem solving and role playing as well as open forum. Members learn how to cope with the changes in their life at this time. Smart Girls also offers field trips and other activities.

Smart Moves

Smart Moves is a drug and alcohol prevention program, however this program is not limited to just drug & alcohol prevention. We discuss a variety of topics that relate to children of their age and run activities that promote self-esteem, teamwork and goal setting. 

Torch Club

Torch Club is a small group of Club members ages 10 to 12. Torch members elect officers and plan/implement their own activities and projects. Members will receive rewards based on points they earn by doing specific activities (community service, fundraising, etc.). Torch Club is chartered by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. There is a fantastic field trip at the end of the school year if earned!

Diplomas 2 Degrees

A college readiness program for our teens that provides a range of services to guide them as they work toward high school graduation and prepare for post-secondary education and career success. Club staff use fun high-yield activities and a Teen College Guide, complete with tips on achieving academic success and planning for post-secondary education.

Keystone Club

STEM

BGCN is committed to providing opportunities in programming within science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).  We offer innovative and creative programs and resources for our members to advance STEM knowledge and increase interest in STEM-related careers.  With clubs that channel natural curiosity into the design process inherent in the arts, BGCN's STEM program empowers youth to create new solutions to real-world challenges.  This project-based approach develops critical thinking and problem-solving.

Dance & Drama

BGCN looks to provide artistic outlets for all members.  in dance and drama, members will learn about set-design, set building, state lighting, costumes, state make-up and directing.  These classes offer members different ways for them to express themselves creatively in hopes that they will discover a behind-the-scenes role in a production and on stage.

Musical Maestros

Music Maestors will give members hands-on opportunities to recognize their creative potential.  Instruction on guitar, drums, keyboard, karaoke and ukulele will be offered.  Some classes will require registration. Please inquire at the front counter for more details.

Lyricism 101

Lyricism 101 is a program designed to cultivate and amplify the powerful, formidable voices of Club teens. Recognizing the power of literary arts, Lyricism 101 positions Club members as torchbearers and experts in the ancient oral poetic traditions that continue to thrive around the world. The program gives teens an opportunity to tell their stories, build community and express their artistic visions through the music of hip-hop culture and the culture of the cipher.
