Build & Grow Capital Campaign
Due to the lack of a single facility that can fully serve our rich program offerings, BGCN currently maintains two facilities: our Club on Conner Street—built in 1910, was the former high school—and our Community Center, located adjacent to the former Conner Elementary School. Operating two facilities places an ongoing financial burden upon the organization. The current Club is an aging 45,000 square foot facility, but offers only 23,000 square feet of program space and zero green space. This inefficient use of the building means a lack of sufficient space for the Boys & Girls Club to meet the needs of our current programming and limits the opportunity for any new program offerings
About the Project
BGCN seeks to streamline our operations into a single facility to be located where the former Conner Elementary School was located, adjacent to our Community Center. Plans were announced in early 2016 for a new 33,900 square-foot facility to meet growing demand for the group’s services . The new facility would include a gym, a dedicated cafeteria and an outdoor green space. The Boys & Girls Club launched a capital campaign fund in February 2015, and has raised 70 percent of what is required to complete the project.
